Chi Phi Fraternity* - Tallahassee, FL
September 2006 - August 2009
Tasks for this position included web design, network design, and communication projects. My main task was the design, creation, and maintenance of the fraternity's website. The website was a tricky project, catering to four different audiences: potential members, actual members, parents of both categories of members, and alumni. The creation of content and functional elements involved a careful balance of appeal to each audience. Upon realizing that no one could fill my position, I redesigned the website to facilitate database support allowing members to update the homepage through PHP forms.
I also worked the fraternity's secretary to set up a e-mail / text message communication system. I created role based e-mail accounts that auto-forwarded e-mails or text messages from select users to the appropriate groups. For example, the vice president could send a message to exec@chiphifsu.com and it would relay the message to everyone in the Executive Board. This provided an accessible, cost efficient, and timely communication system for the 80+ member organization.

Sales Representative - Volunteer
God's Ministry Ranch - Miami, FL
January 2004 - August 2004 (150+ Hours)
God's Ministry Ranch was a non-profit organization that took donations, sold them at discounted prices to the less fortunate, and donated the proceeds to charity. I was one of the few sales representatives that were in charge of the organization's operations. I managed the inventory and provided customer service as a sales representative. My experiences from this non-profit organization left me with a passion for charity. It was very rewarding to get to feel first hand the fulfillment of helping the less fortunate. The program was a innovative idea, that was philanthropical on many levels. It also left me with skills that were transferable into the professional world including, inventory management, sales, and customer service.
